The Specialist centre for Islam in Brandenburg State was founded in 2017 as a project of RAA Brandenburg (Regional Offices for Education, Integration and Democracy Brandenburg) and is funded by "Tolerantes Brandenburg" as part of the federal programme "Demokratie leben".
The aim of the Bavarian Advice Centre is to prevent the radicalisation of young people or to ensure their deradicalisation. Its task is to quickly address at-risk young people in the local environment of extremist Salafism and to initiate the exit and reintegration processes from a radicalisation process that has already taken place.
The Hesse Advice Centre is aimed at young people, parents and experts with questions on the subject of extremism. It offers measures of prevention, intervention and deradicalisation as an answer to the general helplessness in dealing with religiously based extremism.
The Berlin Advice Centre is there for adolescents and young adults who are evidently subject to a process of radicalisation in the context of religiously based extremism and who have not yet formulated any motivation to leave.
The Saxony Advice Centre of the Violence Prevention Network is aimed at people with ques-tions about religiously based extremism. It offers measures of prevention, intervention and deradicalisation for those affected in dealing with religiously based extremism.
For interested institutions, the Thuringia Advice Centre offers coaching and further training events on the subject of Islam. The primary goal is to strengthen the competence of the staff.
