The aim of the Bavarian Advice Centre is to prevent the radicalisation of young people or to ensure their deradicalisation. Its task is to quickly address at-risk young people in the local environment of extremist Salafism and to initiate the exit and reintegration processes from a radicalisation process that has already taken place.

The Bavarian Advice Centre uses low-threshold approaches to first establish a working relationship with the young persons and then, through its educational work, to bring about the process of dissociation from extremist groups and the questioning of radical ideological elements. This makes deradicalisation processes possible. The services offered consist of consultations for relatives, as well as measures of intervention, deradicalisation and exit and reintegration assistance.
